An engaging, versatile voice actress with a background in musical theater, an ear for English dialects, and four years’ experience teaching history.
Hi there! My name is Jess. I was born and raised in Southern California just east of LA. I've been singing since I was four and absolutely loved doing musical theater all through high school!
My degree is actually in Political Science, which I realize is a bit unusual for someone in this industry, haha.
I taught history as an undergraduate for nearly four years with the intention of pursuing a master's in history, but as is often the case with creatives, I inevitably found my way back home to the arts.
Over the past three years, I've had the privilege of working with Lladró, The Dallas Museum of Art, The Rooted Sisters, and SJSU (among others) as well as voicing characters for HISTORY This Week, GrandMA Studios, and Celestial Horizons—the production company behind the Webby award-winning sci-fi audio drama Desolate Eden, in which my voice can be heard as Alexandria Quill.
I have experience in commercials, corporate narration, explainers, animation, video games, & audio dramas.
My home studio is equipped with a Rode NT1 5th Gen microphone and a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface. I have Source Connect Standard and use the DAW Reaper to record and edit all of my auditions.
I've been a member of The VoiceOver Network since 2022 and have had the opportunity to attend workshops with David Salazar, Steve Pogatch, Julia Pleasants, Sirena Irwin, Daniel Ross, Mary Lynn Wissner, Jack Daniel, Joe Cipriano, J.J. Jurgens, Thomas Mitchells, Julie Thompson, Marta Svetek, and Dave Peacock. With the help of dialect coach Jim Johnson, I am continuously expanding my arsenal of English dialects.
When I'm not recording, I enjoy baking and spending time with my family!
